Semester Long Classes
A new addition to our 2025-2026 school year has been a few semester long classes where you register for the entire semester and not just monthly. Each class is set up differently with some being a cooperative class where parents take turns volunteering and others being teacher lead. These classes are not required in order to partake in our monthly activities.
This class meets weekly and is for 4th graders and up. The students are learning about American history this year. Each week at home our parents teach what they wish on specific topics on our timeline and we come together to do hands-on activities to enrich the subject.
KinderTime is for Kindergarten level students aged 4-6. Meeting biweekly, the students participate in play-based interactive activities that cover the subjects phonics, math and enrichment.
Our students in grades 4-6 meet biweekly to become safety engineers, designing miniature waste storage systems with electronic sensors. Teams simulate nuclear waste and chemical leaks, test safety materials, and build alert systems using Snap Circuits. Lead by Hattie Kimbell, this class is a one-time opportunity for our students.
